The twin condominium high-rise towers at 70 Roehampton Avenue and 25 Broadway Avenue are collectively known as The Republic Condos. Completed in 2010, The Republic Condos are a modern, stylish and environmentally-conscious addition to Toronto’s Yonge and Eglinton neighbourhood.
Through frameless glass front doors, a concierge and a striking two-storey abstract sculpture await you in the lobby. The panoramic windows, onyx fireplace and designer furnishings give you a taste of what’s to come in the 548 condos above. Ranging from studios to penthouses over 3000 sq. ft., The Republic offers fresh and functional interior layouts designed by Burka Architects and Munge Lueng.
On the 6th floor of the building is the outdoor Cabana Lounge with a dining area and barbeque stations. The Republic also houses an entertainment centre, a party lounge, a movie theatre, a billiards room, and a health/fitness studio.
The Republic Condos were built by Tridel, a company responsible for some of Toronto’s finest luxury condominium and loft buildings including Blythwood at Huntington, Reve on King West, James Cooper Mansion and Three Hundred Front Street. Tridel is also quite an acclaimed firm—for the fourth consecutive year, they won the first place spot in the J.D. Power and Associates New Condominium Builder Satisfaction Study in the GTA. Another one of Tridel’s awards is the 2010 High-Rise Green Builder of the Year Award. Tridel prides itself on creating beautifully designed buildings that also fulfill certification requirements from the Canada Green Building Council.
At The Republic, the suites were designed using environmentally conscious building materials such as low volatile organic compounds paints and carpeting, energy efficient windows, appliances by Energy Star and high performance ventilation systems. Additionally, condos at The Republic include a free membership to AutoShare, an hourly car rental service that saves residents the hassle of owning a car.
