Spanning the city block between Balmoral and Farnham Avenues, 1 Balmoral is a mid-rise 9 storey building that houses 133 condominums. Completed in the late 1990’s, 1 Balmoral was built by Diamante Development Corporation whose other projects include Phoebe on Queen, The Royalton and 2 Roxborough. Toronto-based Rafael + Bigauskas Architects, the architectural firm that worked on 1 Balmoral, has been even more prolific. They are responsible for The Carlyle, The Electra and One Avondale Lofts, just to name a few.

The suites at 1 Balmoral come with outdoor space, varying from a Juliette balcony to a walk-out terrace depending on size. Three bedroom suites, the largest available, can exceed 3400 sq. ft. All of the units feature 9” ceilings, some are vaulted, and parking spots. Residents also have exclusive access to amenities such as a gym, a party room, a landscaped courtyard and guest suites. On the ground floor, there are boutiques and restaurants including Terroni, an Italian restaurant, and Chi Spa, a relaxing treatment/esthetic centre.

Also, the nearby neighbourhoods of Rosedale and Forest Hill offer a great selection of busy high end dining spots like Cava Restaurant.
